Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Veritik accounts, AI screening, pipeline, and quotas
Product and AI
Does Veritik replace recruiters?
No. Veritik accelerates screening and provides structured decision support. Recruiters remain responsible for verification, interviews, stage changes, and final decisions.
What are the AI Recommendation values?
Recommended, Consider, and Not Recommended.
Is AI Recommendation the same as Recruitment Status?
No. AI Recommendation is generated by AI. Recruitment Status is selected by a recruiter and controls the pipeline.
Can AI make mistakes?
Yes. Resume parsing and generated analysis may be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important information against the original resume.
What scale do candidate scores use?
All overall, skills, experience, and education scores are percentages from 0 to 100. For example, 85.5 means 85.5%, and 8 means 8%, not 8/10. Veritik does not automatically guess or convert score scales.
Resumes and Screening
Which resume formats are supported?
PDF and DOCX. Legacy DOC files are not supported.
Can I upload multiple resumes?
Yes. Veritik processes up to three files concurrently. Each file receives its own Queued, Screening, Retrying, Completed, or Failed result.
Can I close the browser during screening?
No. The current batch is coordinated by the open browser, so keep the page open until every selected file completes or fails.
Which failures are retried automatically?
Temporary AI service responses (429, 502, 503, and 504) are retried up to two additional times. Network failures require a manual retry because the server may already have accepted the previous request.
Why did a resume fail?
The file may have an unsupported extension or MIME type, invalid file signature, corrupted content, unreadable text, or the job may have reached its CV quota.
Why does a scanned PDF require OCR?
Some PDFs contain only page images and no readable text layer. Veritik does not silently send an empty extraction to AI scoring. OCR is not implemented yet, so an image-only or scanned PDF must first be converted into a searchable PDF or DOCX.
How long does screening take?
For supported datasets and normal service conditions, Veritik targets processing up to 50 CVs in approximately 3 minutes. This is an experience target, not a fixed guarantee. Duration depends on file size, number of resumes, document complexity, network conditions, and AI service availability.
Can I download a candidate comparison?
Yes. Generate a comparison for selected candidates, then click Download PDF or Download Excel. Downloaded reports contain candidate data and should be handled according to your organization's privacy and retention policies.
Pipeline and Collaboration
Does the Candidates page show every Veritik user?
No. It shows candidates from jobs in the signed-in user's current workspace only. Search, filters, sorting, and pagination are applied on the server within that workspace boundary.
What is the difference between Job Pipeline and Global Pipeline?
Job Pipeline focuses on one job. Global Pipeline combines candidates from non-archived jobs in the current workspace, displays up to 25 cards per stage, supports drag-and-drop status changes, and marks candidates with no stage movement for seven days as stagnant.
Which Recruitment Status values are available?
New, Shortlisted, Contacted, HR Interview, User Interview, Technical Test, Offering, Hired, and Rejected.
Can I move multiple candidates at once?
Yes. Candidate Ranking and Pipeline provide bulk status updates for selected candidates.
Are status changes recorded?
Yes. Actual transitions are recorded with previous status, new status, time, and responsible user when available.
Do recruiter notes change AI scoring?
No. Notes are human-authored collaboration data and remain separate from the AI summary and recommendation.
Why am I asked for feedback before opening Pipeline?
After at least one candidate has been processed, Veritik asks each user for brief experience feedback before their first Pipeline access for that job. This happens once per user per job. The feedback helps improve the overall workflow and does not change candidate scores, AI Recommendation, ranking, quota, or Recruitment Status.
Account and Google SSO
Can I use Google to sign in?
Yes. Use Continue with Google on Login or Register.
What happens if my Google email already has a password account?
After Google verifies the email, Veritik links it to the existing account. It does not create another workspace or remove existing access.
Can a Google-only account log in with a password?
Not unless password credentials are separately supported for that account. Continue with Google instead.
Is password reset available?
Yes, for accounts that have a Veritik password. Select Forgot password? on Login and use the single-use email link within 30 minutes. A successful reset signs out previous sessions.
Google-only accounts should use Continue with Google. For security, Veritik displays the same forgot-password confirmation regardless of whether an email is registered.
Can I change my password while signed in?
Yes, for accounts with a Veritik password. Open Profile, verify the current password, and choose a different password between 8 and 256 characters. Other sessions are revoked after the change. Google-managed accounts change their password through Google.
Where can I view my company and account information?
Open Profile to see your full name, email, login method, company or workspace, role, plan, status, and account dates. Only the full name is editable from this page.
Plans and Quotas
What are the Free Trial limits?
New workspaces can create up to 2 jobs and upload up to 10 CVs per job.
Why does an older account show Full Access?
Existing workspaces retained unrestricted access when Free Trial enforcement was introduced, preventing disruption to active users.
Does duplicating a job copy its candidates?
No. A duplicate is created as a Draft with copied job configuration and no candidates. Creating the duplicate still counts as creating a job for quota purposes.
Is online payment available?
Not currently. Pricing calls to action connect you with Veritik for early-access discussion.
Privacy and Security
Does Veritik use product analytics?
The public landing page uses optional first-party analytics only after the visitor allows it. The identifier is random rather than fingerprint-based. Analytics measure activation events and do not include resume contents, candidate personal data, prompts, or AI output. Declining does not block product access.
Can another workspace see my candidates?
Normal application access is workspace-scoped. Protected operations verify membership, and database security controls restrict direct client access.
What should I avoid sending to support?
Never send passwords, API keys, OAuth secrets, session cookies, or unredacted candidate data.
Does Veritik guarantee legal compliance?
No. Each organization remains responsible for its lawful basis, candidate notices, access policy, retention, and hiring practices.
